Something will grow from all that you are going through…And it will be you.
Our approach
Halfmoon Counselling Services consists of registered social workers and clinical counsellors who bring years of experience working within mental health and addiction services. We base our approach on evidence-based, trauma-informed, and collaborative practice. Our strength-based practice supports clients in developing short-term goals to create stability and symptom relief; and long-term goals to challenge persistent and problematic thoughts, feelings, and behaviours.
We seek to work with individuals and their families to move from suffering, to leading engaging and fulfilling lives.
Halfmoon Counselling Services offers both counselling, ADHD assessment and consultation sessions in person and virtually across Canada.
We work with children (3 to 12 years old), teenagers and adults.
In addition to children and their families in general, here are some specific demographics our therapists are qualified to serve:
Black, Indigenous, People of Colour (BIPOC) and other marginalized groups
LGBTQ2S+ human beings
Neurodivergent children and adults (Autism, ADHD, ODD, demand-avoidant, ID etc.)
Children with complex diagnoses (Reactive Attachment Disorder, Intermittent Explosive Disorder, Type I Diabetes, Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder, and many more).
